What's your commitment to sustainability?
Sustainability is at our core. Our green mission is to help tourists enjoy our home – Dartmoor National Park and surrounding areas in a sustainable way.
Some of the steps we’ve taken include using solar, make use of PV water heating tubes, double glaze and well insulate the cottages, use our own spring water supply, create wild meadows, work with local contractors who have green standards (like supply chain, modern slavery, diversity and inclusion and health & safety), recommend local businesses, eliminate single use products, provide and encourage use of recycling facilities, have living roofs on our outbuildings and provide garden furniture made from local recycled plastics. We provide kids (and those young at heart) with activity sheets to help you spot local wildlife and flowers.
