When you bought or rented your first house, I’m sure you recited the location, location, location mantra. It’s also one we see on our TV screens during property buying programmes. As I write this blog, I’m also watching Kirsty and Phil presenting the programme called Location, location, location on British TV.
Location, location, location is also a mantra that should apply when it comes to choosing your holiday destination.
What’s important to you when you go on holiday? A place to relax? Walking options? Access to culture and cities? An opportunity to try new things? Access to beaches?
When it comes to The Cottages at Blackadon Farm, we can answer yes to all of these questions.
If you want to relax, you can enjoy the surroundings of your cottage. They are equipped with modern day luxuries including Amazon’s Alexa, Nespresso machines and smart TVs. You can also enjoy the views from our south facing guest lawn and courtyard.
Our guests can walk directly from their cottage onto Dartmoor. Ugborough Beacon is a local walk which provides views over the South Hams and Dartmoor.
We’re close to a number of National Trust Properties, including Saltram House and Greenway, Agatha Christie’s home. Buckfast Abbey is 15 minutes away by car. Exeter has a beautiful cathedral whilst Plymouth has it’s own west end theatre and naval history.
Have you ever met miniature donkeys? You can when you stay with us. Otherwise, we have special promotions for our guests to take part in gin making classes or have rum tasting sessions in their cottage. If you’ve always wanted to walk with alpacas, we can arrange private tours for you.
The beaches in South Devon are some of the best in Britain. We have options for sunbathing, sandcastle building, surfing and walking. Mothecombe, Thurlestone, Bigbury-on-Sea and Burgh Island should be on your list.
The Cottages at Blackadon Farm also boasts one of the most accessible holiday locations in Devon and Cornwall. We’re two miles from the A38 Devon Expressway, 35 minutes south of Exeter and 15 minutes north of Plymouth. Ivybridge train station is two miles away and has direct trains from London Paddington. There are regular connections from across the UK through Exeter, Plymouth, Totnes and Newton Abbot. Ferries between Plymouth, France and Spain are 20 minutes away. Exeter airport has daily connections across the UK and codeshares with international airlines.
It’s all about location, location, location with it comes to The Cottages at Blackadon Farm.
