From all of us at The Cottages at Blackadon Farm, we’d like to wish you a wonderful Christmas and a healthy 2021.
We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us during 2020. We really enjoyed showing new and repeat guests our renovated cottages when COVID-19 rules allowed us to open.
Whether you’re planning a break as a couple or Group, we hope to welcome you during 2021. We have cottages that have 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 13 bedroom options with private entrances and direct access onto Dartmoor National Park. We guarantee the best prices and booking terms for direct reservations.
To get you thinking about your next holiday, here’s a sneak preview of some interesting things we have planned to make your time even more special.
New for 2021 – The Parlour (3 bedrooms, sleeps up to 6)
In February, we’ll be opening the last of our renovated cottages and it can be booked now. The Parlour is all on one level in the courtyard, featuring an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room. There are three bedrooms, one ensuite plus a full family bathroom. We’re adding more little luxuries which will make The Parlour our most comfortable cottage.
We’ve received rave reviews on our beds which are the same as those in some well-known five-star hotels, so we’re naturally having these in The Parlour. Bedrooms will consist of a double and two twins which can be converted into super kings.
The Parlour catches the mid-day and afternoon sun from our south facing courtyard, so if you just want to relax, this is the perfect place for you.
Super-fast fibre Wi-Fi will be available in The Parlour so it’s OK if you have a ton of devices or want to log into your Netflix account from the smart TV.
The Parlour is available to book now for 3 night minimums throughout the year and 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday) during summer holidays.
New for 2021 – Donkey trekking experiences
Our miniature donkeys Tiny Tim, Cody and Freddie have been going for walks on Dartmoor recently and they are almost ready to show you around. You can now buy exclusive experiences which are just for you.
On dry Saturday and Sunday mornings, you’ll start your experience with an elderflower spritzer, made with flowers from the garden whilst you meet the donkeys. Once their harnesses are on, we’ll walk onto Dartmoor for an hour’s walk before returning for elevenses. Tea, a scone and biscuits will be served on the lawn in summer. On cold days you can take this with you or if you’re staying with us, have it delivered to your cottage. You’ll leave with a small gift from us to say thank you for spending your time with the donkeys.
New for 2021 – Keeping cosy by the fire
If you want to make the most of being outdoors or make summer nights last a little longer, you’ll want to make the most of our new fire ball. It is more hypnotic than a fire pit and a place where you’ll tell stories and share memories.
And that’s not all. We have a few more surprises planned which we’re looking forward to sharing in the New Year.
